چکیده

In this paper we introduce trajectory-based labeling, a new variant of dynamic map labeling, where a movement trajectory for the map viewport is given. We define a general labeling model and study the active range maximization problem in this model. The problem isNP-complete andW[1]-hard. In the restricted, yet practically relevant case that no more than k labels can be active at any time, we give polynomial-time algorithms. For the general case we present a practical ILP formulation with an experimental evaluation as well as approximation algorithms.

Trajectory Tracking of Two-Wheeled Mobile Robots, Using LQR Optimal Control Method, Based On Computational Model of KHEPERA IV

This paper presents a model-based control design for trajectory tracking of two-wheeled mobile robots based on Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) optimal control. The model proposed in this article has been implemented on a computational model which is obtained from kinematic and dynamic relations of KHEPERA IV. The purpose of control is to track a predefined reference trajectory with the best po...

Biomechanical Investigation of Empirical Optimal Trajectories Introduced for Snatch Weightlifting

The optimal barbell trajectory for snatch weightlifting has been achieved empirically by several researchers. They have studied the differences between the elite weightlifters’ movement patterns and suggested three optimal barbell trajectories (type A, B, and C). But they didn’t agree for introducing the best trajectory. One of the reasons is this idea that the selected criterion by researchers...

Planning and Control of Two-Link Rigid Flexible Manipulators in Dynamic Object Manipulation Missions

This research focuses on proposing an optimal trajectory planning and control method of two link rigid-flexible manipulators (TLRFM) for Dynamic Object Manipulation (DOM) missions. For the first time, achievement of DOM task using a rotating one flexible link robot was taken into account in [20]. The authors do not aim to contribute on either trajectory tracking or vibration control of the End-...

Supporting Dynamic Labeling in Web Map Applications

Web mapping based on client-side application programming interfaces (APIs) is very popular, especially for mashups. However, we can observe that most of these applications use no labeling. Thus, fast comprehensibility of such maps is hindered. In this paper, we investigate the reasons for this situation. Based on this analysis, a specification is presented that fosters the use of dynamic point ...

Consistent Labeling of Rotating Maps

Dynamic maps that allow continuous map rotations, e.g., on mobile devices, encounter new issues unseen in static map labeling before. We study the following dynamic map labeling problem: The input is a static, labeled map, i.e., a set P of points in the plane with attached non-overlapping horizontal rectangular labels. The goal is to find a consistent labeling of P under rotation that maximizes...
